Digital and Print Student Resource Development

What to do with 3 new authors who need guidance?

Challenge: A large NYC-based client signed three new authors for three new print titles that needed digitial links applied.

Solution: We were hired to work with the authors from sample chapter to reviewing pages. We have done this process for more literally than 500 titles across many educational publishers; we now complete this development of student resource content in the digital environment.

Making Your Budget Work

We are an extension of our clients and understand your budget requirements. Check out how we've worked with you.

Challenge: Our Client Ran Into a Budget Crunch

Solution: We were mid-cycle on developing a AAA-priority set of ancillaries for one of our clients with whom we've worked the entire 10 years we have been in business. Budgets became very tight for them during the recession. It was a tearful call (for me) when the client called to reduce the budgets of an already-started projects. But we understood what they were experienced and wanted to accommodte. We did it--we reached a compromise that helped our client immensely without compromising the quality of overall content.

Digital Assessment/Item Writing/Test Prep

They came to only iD8-TripleSSS when they needed 1200 assessment questions fast.

Digital Assessment

Challenge: Write 1200 assessment questions in 3 weeks for an online digital lab to accompany a key print student resource project (textbook!). The client was already behind schedule.

Solution: We rallied 10 writers to work on the various components, including creating media links to meet this client's needs. We now have multiple like-projects from them.

Instructional Design/Online Course Build

When an online prototype is your need and challenge...

Challenge: We were asked to manage the content for an online courseware prototype. But the programming vendor ran into some barriers.

Solution: On the fly, we were asked to create the courseware proof of concept, the content, and the actual build of the online prototype. It was whirlwind, unexpected in the 4th quarter of the year, and it succeeded, thanks to our instructional designers. It was tested and approved by client in the marketplace. We are now in contract for the full course.

Writing Instructor Resources

Our client was in dire need of instructor resources, including instructor manuals, PPTs, test bank, and other curriculum resources.

Writing Instructor Resources

Challenge: Like many clients, our client was in dire need of reliable writing resources to create a large supplements package for both instructors and students, in two months.

Solution: We were able to quickly hire and manage the content creation. Two of our writers were instructors in the discipline; one taught that discipline; and the others were seasoned writers/editors in the educational space and in that specific discipline. Our resources are vast to reach the writer people for the right project.

Writing/Managing Content for Apps

We were excited to begin writing iPad App Content for Grades 3-8!

Challenge: Grade 3-8 common core and state standards test preparation product for the app/Ipad environment.

Solution: Grade 3 sample product is complete; and will be market tested in the iPad/app environment in one state. Based on the feedback, we will make changes and apply those changes to grades 4-8, adhering to the standards.

Mapping Product Content to Curriculum

What do you need mapped? Our client needed mapping of their content to its client's syllabi.

Mapping Product Content to Curriculum

Challenge: Recently we were asked by an educational publisher to take current, existing, printed content and map it or correlate it to a potential customer’s lesson plans and syllabi. The turnarounds are usually tight and the lesson plans often confusing.

Solution: We always outline for the client exactly what they’ve requested to make sure we’re on target. In these cases, the correlations were completed on time and delivered to the colleges in time for their class starts. As a result, the publisher was able to finalize their relationship with the college.

Courseware Creation and Consultation

Creating courses and their content from the ground up: consultation, instructional design through implementation

We were tasked with taking two very outdated courses for a nonprofit organization and creating entirely new courses based on the old content. Our mission was:

1. Create two new courses that SCORM compliant.

2. Create a new instructional design map and course format/new student experience..

3. Use/update content provided.

4. Provide audio.

5. Work with LMS contacts to make sure the courses would operate smoothly.

The two courses released in June 2015 and the feedback has been excellent thus far.
